Having Options With a Kitchenaid Mixer
***
Mixing it up in the Kitchen has never been easier with a hand or free standing mixer from KitchenAid. Breads, cakes, and cupcakes are as easy as pie – dough, and arms and hands are free for other daily workouts. The only real concern becomes, which type of KitchenAid mixer will best suite your needs.
KitchenAid Artisan hand mixer features a powerful motor to handle heavy-duty tasks with ease. It is ideal for mixing heavy cookie dough or any other dough you can think of. Easy on the arms, some of it’s features include, but are not limited to: 7 speeds including Soft Start and 2 Slow Stir speeds for greater control, heel rest provides stability when mixer not in use, and what cook wouldn’t be excited by the self-cleaning stainless steel Turbo Beater to help prevent clogging! If all that was not enough, you can choose the color to match your kitchen!
The great news is if seven speeds breaks the radar in your kitchen, other mixers with lesser, and yes even greater speed capacities are also available. KitchenAid offers hand mixers with a minimum of three speeds, known as the classic; five speeds, classified under the heading “Ultra Power” ; and for moms who make a living whipping things up for school bake sales a nine speed “Professional” hand mixer is also a consideration!
Economically hand held mixers tend to cost a bit less than the larger free standing mixers we will look at later. Three speed mixers tend to cost as much as 49.99, although KitchenAid appliances can be located for a less. The Price of subsequent speed increase, like your speed on the highway traffic ticket, goes up as you go faster. As you accelerate your kitchen appliance to a nine speed KitchenAid mixer, you could be looking at a price tag of around 89.99.
We all know cooking and baking can be a drag sometimes. Certainly standing over your bowl of ingredients and holding on to a mixer can take a bite out of precious time before others get to take a bite of your delicious end result. Free standing mixers are the solution for cooks who have better things to do than stand over their mixer, mixing. As with the hand mixers there are a variety to choose from.
It is nice to know that out there in the world of baking there are mixers that can stand on their own. KitchenAid standing mixers run from 4.5 quart machines to the bigger and more powerful six quart appliance. Tilt-head or bowl lift mixers are offered in the 4.5 or five quart deals while only bowl lift mixers were found in the six quart category. The good news is you can still match the kitchen with your choice of colors!
Price is always a consideration when purchasing any household item and if a free standing KitchenAid mixer is must for you the cost should be of no surprise. The tilt-head mixers tend to cost less than those featuring a bowl lift. In the 4.5 quart size range those prices tend to fall between 199.99 to the 280’s. Up a half size to the five quart we find the price shifting upwards from about 299.99 to 350 dollars. The higher end of the scale is of course the biggest of the bunch with the six quart weighing in at approximately 399.99.
There really is no right and wrong when it comes to choosing your kitchen appliance. The question always needs to be, what best suits your needs and keeps you in the mix.
