“Garden of Delight” by Marieke van der Bruggen
***
Marieke van der Bruggen’s ‘Garden of delight’ tree branches made of coloured glucose. Tree branches made of coloured glucose, and asparagus adorned with gold leaf: just a random selection of the exhibits in the design exhibition Jewels & Joules with which Design Connection Brainport (DCB) presents itself on the Salone del Mobile 2009 in Milan from 22 through 27 April. The exhibition is a very original and partly edible (!) show of products that have been designed and manufactured in the Eindhoven region. Jewels & Joules is a collaborative project of DCB and Design Academy Eindhoven, the universally acclaimed design school that for years now has been strengthening the region with highly talented designers.
