Glenview Restaurants Provide Small Town Feel Near The Big City

Once you enter through the restaurants doors you are immediately greeted by Karas the owner who makes you feel as if you are entering his own home. This may be down to his Greek ancestry or because he understands about the importance of putting his customers first. Because of this kind of welcome there are plenty of customers who will return time and time again. In fact for those customers who are regular you will see small placards placed around the restaurant on bar stools, on chairs and in the booths which tell of those who come back so often.
The restaurant is located in Carillon Square on the Waukegan Road in Glenview. Once inside you have various different wonderful Italian dishes to select from enjoy. But it isn’t just the food that people will visit this restaurant for they like the atmosphere and the way it has been laid out. After walking in through the doors the bar is to the left where a drink can be enjoyed before you dine and just off of this area is a more intimate dining area where couples can spend time together without any interruptions. This area has been created to make you feel as if you are dining in some wonderful eatery in Rome or Florence. However, the main dining area is much more spacious and brighter. But there is the opportunity to have one of the areas closed off if you wish from the dining area where you can hold parties, showers or even bar mitzvahs.
As for this Glenview restaurants food, they offer a wide array of wonderful dishes and so deciding what to have can prove somewhat of a challenge. Certainly when it comes to the starters the fried calamari is something to try. Covered in subtly spiced batter which has been lightly fried will soon have you wanting more. As for the main courses again there are numerous choices for you to select from. The ones that seem to be favoured by many customers today are the white fish piccante, the veal parmigiana, the eggplant rollatini, the rigatoni ala rigo and the chicken vesuvio. All of which have been well seasoned and taste beautiful, but the white fish piccante is extremely popular and when eaten it seems to melt in the mouth.
Then to finish what has been a wonderful meal off you should try some of Homer’s Spumoni Ice Cream. Plus a cup of their great tasting espresso made from imported Italian coffee should not be missed. But it isn’t just the great food that is making this particular Glenview Restaurant so popular these days its the prices. The prices charged by Karas for his meals allow you to have great food at affordable prices. A glass of good house wine won’t cost you more than $4.50.

Certainly it is for the reasons we have mentioned above is why this restaurant in Glenview is proving so popular with both those who reside in the town and those visiting it.
